Soooooo big!

Here is Annika for her 18 month picture. She is becoming quite the little toddler. At her 18 month checkup she was 23 lbs. 7 oz. The pediatrician asked if she said 5-20 words! She says almost 200! Some of her favorites are body parts like ears, eye, nose (she loves noses) and chocolate(from her advent calendar), cookie (from people who want to spoil her) and "dough-dough" which means donut (for when mama gives in or daddy brings her a treat). Annika is literally saying new words every day.

Annika loves to climb and run. She loves to play with other kids during my moms groups and loves to swim at swimming lessons. Some of her favorite toys are building toys like blocks, legos, stacking cups and stacking rings. She seems to be an overachiever in many areas. This surprises me immensely because I don't specifically work with her to learn things. She is just a sponge!

The other night she sneezed and I said "bless you" and she said "bless me". If I ask her if she wants to get out of her high chair she says either "not yet" or "all done". When I hand her something she says "thank you" and she says "please" if she wants something. She even says think you to cashiers (does this mean I shop too much?).

Still, after 19 months I am thrilled to be with her and I cannot believe she is mine. I am so blessed to have her and so is her daddy!

My baby girl isn't such a baby anymore...time for a little sister or brother?
